Skinner

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Hi there!

Why “skinner”? This is what I love to do… I started developing unique templates few years back when I tried to integrate directory script into design of the existing website. Since than it became constantly growing business…

My other passion – I love to learn new things.
I don’t have a computer degree like Dino and Temi :) , but I do have Masters degree in Laser Optics and bachelor’s in Business Management. I am also certified Investment professional and was working with Wall Street hedge fund.
Web design and development I learned on my own, spending many hours with books and in front of computer screen. As I got more involved in the internet business I learned about SEO and how to apply my previous business experience to Internet marketing.

I chose Internet as my next business venture because I see more potential in the web than any other industry. Internet never sleeps…

Thanks to the Internet I met Temi and other great folks from all over the world here at UK Webmaster World.

Greetings to all!

My name is Dino. I’m 21 years old.

I live in Varazdin, Croatia. I am attending the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organisation and Informatics which is located in Varazdin unlike the rest of the University.

I am majoring in Application and Database engineering, pursuing a MSc degree in Information Sciences.

My first contact with a computer was in 1989. It was a Commodore 64 and the only thing I used it for were games (kinda obvious since I was 3 :)). Ever since then I’ve been working on various computer platforms: Amiga, Mac OS, Dos, Windows, Linux, BSD, BeOS…

In my time I’ve ran over 50 various operating systems. I started programming sometime in the year 1994. That same year I first connected to the Internet. At the time Google wasn’t even a plan. Yahoo! was ruling the web and websites were dumb and ugly.

My main programming problem was that none of the languages I tried could keep my interest. Finaly I started working in C# and parallel in PHP. Two languages I could really get into.

C# because it offered all I wanted in a programming language, and PHP cause I’ve been long enough on the Internet to see what it can do. And I was more then impressed.

These days I work as PHP programmer and I also administer a few forums. Some are webmaster related and some are entertainment related.

Temi

Temi does not have a Masters in Internet Technologies from Greenwich University in London, because he did not hand in his dissertation, however he handed in his dissertation and all other stuff at the University of Worcester, so he was awarded a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and Psychology, with dishonours, correction, with honours.
Temi is also a certified network engineer and computer buff, with various internationally recognized certifications such as MCSE+I, CNA, A+ and some ancient Cisco certification, all certification certificates are currently gracing some dark corners in his loft.
Temi founded Velnet Internet Services a few years back. Team Velnet now consists of over ten staff, about a dozen websites, providing services such as web hosting, domain name registration and website promotion. Temi’s current passion is to transform his web directory; Haabaa from a middle of the road web directory to a useful internet resource portal, he is also hoping to do the same with his latest acquisition; Ozami Internet Guide .
