I didn't know about DMOZ having those problems, what happened, someone hacked them or was it an inside job to loose some of their data to reduce workload ... ?
I was giving this info by an annoynmout DMOZ editor to show they did not lose all data:
------------------------------------------------
Our access to editors.dmoz.org and our ability to edit has been restored.
Despite the best efforts of staff, not all of the data has been recovered. The public side is intact, but unfortunately, a significant amount of the editor-only data is lost. Staff will continue working on the recovery process while we return to editing.
Known Issues
Everyone should understand that this was a very serious failure. Some of the most serious known issues are:
The majority of unreviewed sites (greens) are missing
Editor notes are missing
Colored URL notes are missing detailed content information
Some links on the editor dashboard are not currently working.

Just AOL incompetence really, they cannot even run DMOZ without crashing it. DMOZ has been far worst disaster than it was before AOL bought it.
