zen-cart is oscommerce (a form of) and another. I guess I agree the free ones are more prone to hackers, but who knows.....

Popularity of shopping carts totally depends on the users, however if you are asking in general, then the two most popular shopping carts I am aware of are osCommerce and Zen Cart. These two are my favorite as well.

I prefer Zeuscart which is the best free GPL Shopping cart software.

I have an online store based on osCommerce. And now I think about migration to more modern cart than previous one. There were Magento and ZenCart have been advised in this thread. So I'd like to know is there any possibility to migrate all products (with attributes and categories), customers and orders from osCommerce to Magento or ZenCart or should I add it mannualy?

I've used zen-cart for several cart solutions. Been satisfied with all of them, but there might be better solutions out there. Since there are several free open-source carts I would reacommend that you check them out yourself. Which the best one is will mostly be personal preferences anyway.
