No it's because of the sub-prime market in the states that had a knock on effect in the UK.

I mean, our government is a pile of (insert here). They can provide swimming for under 16's and over 60's for free (which is to be rolled out across all ages in 4 years) yet they can't deal with real issues like rising house prices, fuel and food inflation.

    Well done Gordon, excellent priorities.

It's all about oil, and it's only going to get worse. Even if U.S. taps into the oil reserve this issue is going to continue. It will not be long for global demands exceed the ability to produce it, even if there is an endless supply. Also, many forget that oil isn't just for making a car go, it is also used to make products like plastic.

Going green, or doing things environmentally friendly, shouldn't be done to prevent "Global Warming". It should be done to conserve everything we have, and to be as efficient as we can. We need ever power manufacturing method we can get our hands on, and we need to manage our resources as if I lives depended on it.
