Google are running tests, and have been for a while. the PR has not updated across ALL data centres, it is being kept away from a set of DC's for testing.

Also the PR update was a snapshot that was taken at least 4 weeks previous to it propagating.

This explanation makes perfect sense, thank for sheding lighs on it.

This isn't the first time this has happened if I remember correctly. I seem to remember a PR update that took weeks to settle on my sites last year as well.

Matt has said that Google are actually preventing the spread of PR to a group of datacentres this time. This is down to their having two different infrastructure setuos and testing them.

It seems that it is a global problem at many data centers, I have been using many of the popular tools are just that popular, best not to comment on accuracy of the PR data they deliver

I cannot see how these tools merit much credibility as G have the info and they 'set the stage' and the rest just follow trying to give PR Ratings and results

Would be helpful if we did not have such fluctuations but hey this is the net

Any PR rating that is not directory from G is not reliable, most of the so called tool sometime get it righ but most of the time they get it completely wrong
