I know .uk.co is used.
I type that to got to bbc all the time.
not sure about .uk.com -- Any ideas please?

uk.com is owned by a company called Centralnic, its actually a 2 character sub domain of top level domain name .com. One of my clients use the .uk.com extension for his Yurt site
