    Fireworks for me!

I've tried photoshop but the layers are always a mess to me. Can't seen to figure it out.. Actually don't give myself the time to learn it because fireworks works just great for me. Btw I'm using the free version 1.0 of fireworks. (Came with UK Design magazine a couple of years ago)

    Default Hello

Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamwaver are 2 different things. Adobe Photoshop is a software that help you to create graphics, buttons, logo, etc Macromedia Dreamwaver is a WYSWYG (What you see is what you get) HTML editor. Whit this software you create your web pages.
I recommend you to use both to create your webpage. Anyway, instead of Adobe Photoshop you can use also Corel Draw (vector graphics).

    Regards,
    Ovi

I've tried both and agree with whatifind: photoshop was too unfriendly to get my head around and then i'd have to agree with OWG: it integrates so nicely with DM. But then I only change images for web things. I used to work as a copywriter in a big ad agency and all of the art directors used to use photdshop, which I think is what you want if you want to do it for print publications.

Most of my drawing is done in Illustrator, just the best vector based program around for me, then export to jpeg or png import into fireworks than export to small gif or jpeg files.

This is how most of the artwork for my websites is done.

Illustrator for vector and text with effects.
    Photoshop for all image work.
Fireworks for editing small gifs and readying images for flash.
