Saw this on the news earlier, I'm not entirely sure why its such a big story to be honest, its not the first instance of this occurring I don't believe.

As sad and distressing it is, it shouldn't make the national news. Should it?

I think it should, like you said, its sad and distressing but its also a novel almost exibitionist way of commiting sucide.
