Well, submiting almost every post we have would get us banned from these sites.
Second, we should always submit the first post in a thread and not the replies.
Tutorials are always the best to submit. But we can submit discussions too, but it's highly recommended that they contain at least 5 replies or more.

The best of these buttons is the digg button. From my experience it brings the most traffic.

Yes, I also think that digg can be the most beneficial, thoug we should be very careful with that site as Melkior said.
