My Golf Equipment website is listed in DMOZ, it was listed about 2 years or so ago

I have submitted our site, but I don't know if it has been listed yet. Does it take a while?

Dmoz is one of the most respected directory's on the net or at least was, most people are saying its not worth the hassle any more but Dmoz share there database with lot of other site which means when they update you instantly get alot of good backlinks.

Plus its free unlike Yahoo Directory..

DMOZ is "The Directory" so a listing in DMOZ will give you the following and more

1. You get a free lifetime link from DMOZ
2. Google imports the contents of Google Directory from DMOZ so you are automatically listed in Google directory
3. Litterally HUNDREDS of small directories imports contents from DMOZ so you get listing in hundreds of diretories free
4. I think Google search and Yahoo searh trust your site more as the assume and independent editor (at DMOZ) has checked out yoursite to ensure it cool before its listed

That is just a few of the big deals, and all this above for FREEEEE
