    How do Google identify whether a link has been sold for PR or traffic?

    That is the million dollar question. There is a system to report the links. I read it on Mr. Cutts blog.

    I guess Google systems will pick up on words that refer to purchasing links for PR. e.g. purchase a link and increase your PR

    Its absolutely necessary, we are talking about a single link that cost $300 per month multiply that by 3 or 4 and not PR benefit, I cannot afford to throw that kind of money per month down the drain.

    I am cancelling them one by one and buying cheaper permanent or annual links instead
