I understand, when you have listings like the one in the attached screen shot, you are considered by Google to be the authority for the keyword used to search .
In the example I used the keyword "trusted places" does anyone know how Google come about this, is it a certain number of links you need to achieve with a particular keyword or what?

Its a good explanation but I don't think it provide direct answer to my questions. In the example I gave the keyword "trusted places" is a restuarant bars etc review sites. And the word trusted places has not bearing whatsoever to the subject matter of the site.
Most of the link to the site come from non restaurant related sites though the site links to lots of restuarant etc.
