I also HATE them. Especially when I listen some music and since I open more tabs at the same time I find myself in the situation of not knowing what the hell is happening to my computer

They are so annoying! If I can not find how to turn them off within 3-5 seconds - I am gone!

I have seen them being used on directories recently (can't remember the url as left site real quick). Why why why would any directory owner want to use this on a directory?
