UK WMW Spam issues?

There seems to be alot of spam on the forum, is this normal?

It is a little off putting for a new user to see so much spam.

Is there anything in the pipeline to reduce and or remove it?

been mentioned a number of times and ive even offered to help out if needed because i used to post here alot but there is never a reply from the new owners. Waste of time.

It used to be a great forum , one of the friendliest around with some great posts and members with a wealth of knowledge , then it was sold ! all the good members left and its been left to rot ever since , the place has been more than dead for well over a year now. Most of the posters make a couple of posts and disappear. It needs an admin that is active on the forums, ive even offered to buy the place but never got a reply , id be happy to take over and give it the attention it really needs.

VB has stuff within the admin end to stop spam and theres mods for it at VB's site, they should really look at getting some installed.

I did notice myself there's a lot of spam and i'm new here and the spam is kinda off putting.

When searching for posts that i'd like to help out in i come across about 50 spam threads and it's harder to find what your looking for too.
