    Default Adobe introduces a multiplatform SDK

    On Monday, Adobe Systems released a public alpha version of a platform that could offer new, easier ways to build Web applications for offline or online use. Such "use anywhere" apps might mean increased productivity for business users.

    Codenamed Apollo, the software developers kit (SDK) and runtime application are designed to help build software that works across operating systems. The software relies on HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and Adobe Flex. The alpha version, which presently works on Windows and Macintosh, can be downloaded for free at Adobe Labs - Apollo
