Action to points

hi there guys,

i am kind of stuck and i was hoping, some of you might be of help.

I am trying to code a script where once an action is performed, a member will get a set amount of points for the action completed.

Im not having too many problems with the general idea.

But of the actions allowed, one is supposed to be 'share this website' (on different web properties ) which will give users x points, and will only be available once,

im kind of stuck on that, my knowledge of php is a bit limited so can someone point me in the right direction.

I think you'll probably need to use javascript as most social sharing gizmos are javascript....you'd need to create a function that is triggered when the user shares the article....this isn't going to be straight forward to do. You might be better off seeing if you can find an off the shelf solution that does what you want.
