I don't use them. Reciprocal links are worth less than one way links. In addition, it is often hard to find websites that are on the link exchange that share the same topical area and are not competitors. Therefore the quality of backlinks from link exchanges is generally very low.

I think the best way to get your site rank better is not to exchange links.
One way links is the best. it can not cause problems at all.

The process is useful.But who wants to exchange links unless you have a good quality links,and again if you have good quality links then why do you exchange.I personally do not like exchanging links.

Link exchange is good. Through it we can get back link very easily. It is good source of getting back link, as it helps improve your website's page rank. But onway link submision is very much preferable.
