Default Which hosting is good, USA or UK

    Hello,

    Just need your opinion.

Comparing few things, UK hosting is expensive compare to USA. So if website is related with UK, do we need to buy hosting from UK servers or servers in USA are fine.

    Hello,

While server location does make a difference for speed the difference between a US server and UK server may not be enough for the extra cost. I'm from the UK and have a person site hosted on a US server and it loads very quickly for me.

Hunta, it depends whether your site is UK based or not. If it is UK based, you should go for an UK hosting service though...

A site could be UK based but get more visitors from US? I would recommend checking/estimating where the majority of your visitors are coming from and finding the perfect location to meet the needs of your visitors.

If you are having a business website for UK residents, you will need to host your website in UK. Even if you are having more traffic from US or Russia, the traffic coming from UK will be more important for you rather than the traffic coming from US or Russia.

Exactly - if your target market is in the UK then host on a UK server. If your target market is in the US then host the site in the US.

In my own experiences, hosting in UK or US would be a problem for your business in view of the excellent foundation of these two countries. It would also not have negative impacts on SEO efforts.

    Thanks,

Well i dont think it makes any differences in prices just because of server locations. It depends upon which web hosting provider and which their hosting plan you are using.

You will generally get better rankings in UK search engines if you have a UK-based IP address for your sites.

For UK businesses, I would recommend a UK host. (And a US host for a US business.) It can have a bearing when appearing in SERPs of the likes of google.co.uk
