I had a similar idea to that. Didn't do anything with it though. I wanted mine more virtual. I think your site might work better if it immediately showed one of the streets instead of an introduction. I usually say introduction first, but all that text on your home page might make it appear a little boring.

So far, it looks good. But I think it would look better if you add some style or design on its text as well as on its navigational menus. For easier navigation, you can add some links on its footer.
